Chateau de Mirambeau
Chateau de Mirambeau is quite simply the most amazing, charming country inn I have ever stayed in. Located about 30 miles southwest of Cognac and 45 miles north of Bordeaux, this is a great destination for exploring the wineries of the Bordeaux region of France.
The room pictured above was my room for the night of my visit. It was an absolutely beautiful guestroom with fine French fabrics decorating the walls, drapes, and bed. It was actually one of the smaller and less impressive rooms in the chateaux, if you can imagine that. I was traveling with a group of Virtuoso travel consultants, and we were able to see one another's rooms. Each room is unique and memorable in its own way, ranging from "impressively charming" to "way over the top." And if anything could be better, wait until you enjoy dinner in the restaurant of this Relais & Chateaux property.
For the best luxury value, simply book through a Virtuoso luxury travel consultant and receive an upgrade on arrival (if available), daily continental breakfast (normally a 25€ per person charge), and more...
