Here's #5 on my top ten list from Virtuoso Travel Week.

Four Seasons Boston has completed a much needed renovation to its guest rooms. While the hotel's bathrooms previously had showers in the bathtub, as of April 2014 all guest rooms now provide step-in showers. This is good news for a great hotel in a wonderful city.

A number of luxury hotels that were constructed prior to the current evolution of room standards have to deal with this kind of situation, and I'm glad that Four Seasons Boston has done the necessary work to enhance its guest rooms… because this hotel enjoys a superb location right on the Boston Garden.

Preferred Partner amenities include the following:

• Daily full American breakfast for two people per bedroom, served through In-Room Dining or in the hotel restaurant (including buffets)
• Food and beverage credit of USD100
• Upgrade of one category, based on availability at time of check-in (excluding signature suites and villas)
• Complimentary high-speed Internet access for all guest room and suite bookings
