public space at One&Only Arabian Court |
One&Only offers so many choices in Dubai that you could understandably be confused. The Royal Mirage was created in 1999, while The Palm, built in 2010, occupies one of the artificial islands constructed in a complex by the same name. Here's the scoop:
One&Only Royal Mirage is a complex of three resorts set on one kilometer of private beach on the mainland. Each of its three resorts has a distinct character.
(1) The Palace, the original resort with 231 rooms, is Arabic in design with an European touch.
(2) The Residence and Spa, an exclusive "hotel within a hotel," is an intimate property with just 90 rooms and is more strongly Arabic in design. Only Residence guests have access to its dining room, and an amazing 80% of guests repeat. Butler service is part of the allure.
(3) The Arabian Court (172 rooms) offers contemporary Arabic design and appeals to a younger clientele.

(4) The Palm opened in 2010 on one of small man-made islands of The Palm. An upscale resort, it's decorated with a color palette of silver, crystal, and off-white and will appeal to guests with a passion for contemporary elegance. Stays of five nights or longer receive complimentary dinner for two nightly, in addition to the usual Virtuoso amenities.
Guests at any of the four One&Only hotels in Dubai have cross-charging privileges at the other resorts and free access to the water park at Atlantis. Virtuoso amenities are available at all four resorts.
