This is why I like to get up before dawn... I'm personally not much interested in staying out late, partying, and doing whatever else it is that happens late at night. I'm typically in bed by 9:30, but my reward comes the next morning when I can wake before dawn and get surprised by views like the one pictured above! To the far left is the Shard, the London Eye just to its right, and Big Ben at the right edge of the photograph.

This was the view out my window on the 7th floor at Four Seasons Park Lane in London. I'm staying in a Westminster Suite (Westminster referring to the view). Four Seasons is a comfortably elegant hotel located in the Mayfair section of London, right across the road from Hyde Park.

A bit about my Westminster Suite. More space than a single traveler would ever need (at 678 square feet!), I understand why the hotel wanted me to experience this newly renovated suite. It would be a perfect accommodation for a business traveler needing a spacious living area in which to see clients, for a couple wanting more space, or even for a family of four visiting London on holidays. The living room has its own powder room, a large built-in desk area with convenient outlets placed at desk level, a sofa that converts into a Queen-sized bed, and two additional chairs. A 60" flatscreen tv along with a minibar and espresso machine round out the living room. The bedroom has a King bed and a second 42" flatscreen, dresser, and reading chair. A large dressing area has hanging space for two guests. The bathroom uses dark brown veined marble for the floors and dual vanity, with lighter tan marble on the walls. As expected, there's a large soaking tub, step-in shower, and WC. The suite's interior style is elegant and residential, decorated with prints, paintings, and framed photographic art. The designers have created a fabulous interior using different colors and textures in the walls, floors, ceiling, woodwork, and furnishings.
