Schloss Fuschl | I want to hike around this lake

The two days I spent at Schloss Fuschl (pictured in the background of the picture above) were not enough. The resort is set on a beautiful lake, about 12 km around (about 3 hours). I'd love to go back to Austria just to take the hike. I would start in the late morning, have lunch in the small village of Fuschl at the opposite end of the lake, then continue around the lake back to the resort.

I recommend booking a Castle Suite, located in the original castle built in 1450 and offering an uninterrupted lake view right from your room. Or for a real WOW, stay in one of the Lake Cottages right on the lake level with an upstairs bedroom, downstairs living room with wood burning fireplace, and spectacular views of the water.
