view from Alpaga, French alpine resort |
And where to stay? Alpaga is a boutique Virtuoso resort at which we spend an evening. With just 30 rooms and villas, its styling is attractive, rustic, and contemporary with hardwood floors and pine ceilings, beams, doors, and paneling. Guest rooms are a bit compact (35 sqm) but fully featured, but the chalets are perfect for families or groups traveling together with a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and large living and dining rooms. As a special treat, the hotel's one-star Michelin chef prepared a superb four course dinner for us in our chalet … and the same can be arranged for you.
Easy to reach, Alpaga is just an hour from Geneva — and Geneva is just a 2 hour TGV train ride from Paris. Is skiing in the Alps on your bucket list? Consider Megeve.
